Ramadan Vibes in Bhendi Bazaar

Ramadan Mubarak – the most-awaited and soul replenishing month for the Muslims has arrived upon us. A month of fasting and praying in gatherings at masjids, meeting and exchanging gifts, scrumptious food at Iftaar, and much more. But remarkably the pandemic blown 2020 is awaiting a much new experience of Ramadan this year.

Bhendi Bazaar being Mumbai’s most sorted after the district in Ramadan is all silent. Our eyes will miss viewing some of the most nostalgic scenes. Several Masjids present in this area would be empty with no rhythm of Quran and Azaan being played. Oh! what a heartbreaking sight.

Immediately next comes the Eateries and lanes full of vendors offering some utterly lip-smacking variety of food which are all empty. Every night of Ramadan used to be a mini feast with people from different walks of life coming to these lanes to enjoy authentic Muslim cuisine. From tikka to firni, from jalebi to seekh paratha, from falooda to nalli Nihari everything tasted heaven to the lips. Although vendors may provide home delivery options this year in the present scenario but the main feature was the bylanes alive with noises, voices, lighting’s and people walking everywhere.

Another major missing is the Flea Market kind of aura at the night where you could buy everything from clothes to food to books to accessories and so much more. Bhendi Bazaar never slept for a minute in Ramadan. This year there is an itching silence instead.

Furthermore is a special mention for the residents of Al-Sa’adah who are experiencing their first Ramadan in their new homes and were very excited to witness a new lifestyle this Ramadan. Back again in the main mohalla of Bhendi Bazaar and easy accessibility to everything was going to be an add on bonus, but sadly everyone is home bound and nevertheless would create a new memorable experience for themselves.

Not to miss, even team charche is missing their gup shups over tea but thanks to the Internet for making life better. We have so many breaking news waiting to be delivered to you all. If you have any guesses kindly comment below.
