Sector 6 ko mila hai part OC 

As per a recent Hindustan Times article, kuch din pehle SBUT ki Sector 6 building Al Ezz Tower ko part OC mila hai. Sunne mei aaya hai ke yeh part OC sei taqreeban 250 dukaan waale idhar wapis aayenge. Kya aap ko maalum hai OC ka full form kya hai?

OC stands for occupancy certificate which is given by the BMC authorities after full inspection of the building premises. For now this sector has received part OC as the G+2 commercial floors and basement floors are ready for use. Even though the other floors above are under construction, yet these specified floors can be occupied through this part OC. Any builder has to go through relevant approvals and inspection before receiving an OC.

Current status of Al Ezz towers Commercial space

Jab yeh khabar aayi, tab BBKC ke khabri ne Bhendi Bazaar ke alag alag dukaan wale sei unka view pucha, aur sab ka alag alag nazarya tha. Some expressed their excitement for the new commercial sector, as new furnished shops with extra space will be provided whereas a few were worried about the customer footfalls and business. Aise bhi sunne mei aaya hei ke dukaan waale khud ki dukaan ka space dekhne ke liye aa rahe hei.

Farida Mansoori, 60, who with her 70-year-old husband owned an antiques shop at Mutton Street in Chor Bazaar, had dropped by to inspect her space on the first floor of Al-Ezz last week. “Our old shop measured 38 sq ft, which stored everything from second-hand furniture to showpieces, antique telephones and toys. There was always a rush during Jumma Bazaar. Now we have been given a 48 sq ft shop facing the main road. We are happy with the view, but we haven’t decided if we will continue with the old business or start something new,” said the Nagpada resident.

Shahidullah Khan, 63, a wholesale dealer in bread and butter, who operated in his old shop from the 1960s, said, “We had two shops and a godown measuring 122 sq ft earlier. Now I have been given the exact same area on the ground floor. They have delivered what they promised. I am looking forward to restart my business.”

Ek taraf khushiya hai aur dusri taraf fikr magar jaise kehte hai wepaar karne mei risk factor hota hi hai. As the tenants are yet to shift in as owners, till then nobody knows their fate in these new commercial setup.
